LeBron James approves of Kamala Harris as Joe Biden’s running mate


LeBron James tweeted his support for presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden’s choice for his running mate, sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., On Tuesday.

“Congrats and well deserved sen. Kamala Harris !! Love to watch and support it! Appreciate your JB, ”he wrote.

James is not afraid to get into political waters. The four-time MVP signed Hillary Clinton for president at the 2016 election and campaigned for her in Ohio while he was still with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It’s unclear whether he will campaign for Biden in California, Ohio or another state, especially in the midst of the Lakers’ playoff push and his pursuit to a fourth ring.

Biden called Harris’s running mate Tuesday. He said in an email to supporters that Harris “is the best person to help me take this fight to Donald Trump and Mike Pence and then lead this nation from January 2021.”

Harris said she was ‘honored’ to be nominated.

“@JoeBiden can unite the American people because he has spent his life for us,” tweeted the Democratic senator from California. “And as president, he will build an America that follows our ideals.”

She added: “I am honored to marry him as the nominee of our party for Vice President, and do whatever it takes to make him our Commander-in-Chief.”
