LeBron asks James to help find his friend’s sister’s killer in public

The Lakers Star tweeted on Wednesday, “Akron Ohio! My brother’s sister was murdered at her home last week! My brother’s family needs answers by why and by whom. My city has to go to work and find out who did such care, This is a horrible, shameful, disgusting thing to a loving angel!

The incident report from the Akron Police Department spells out Mrs. VMS’s first name, Erica’s name.

Upon entering her home on Monday afternoon, police found Erica Weims unresponsive in her bedroom.

In an email to CNN, police Lt. Michael A. Miller said the medical examiner said she died of a gunshot wound. The police report said he was shot between October 31 and November 2.

The investigation is still in the early stages, Miller said. No suspects have been identified or arrested yet, but investigators remain optimistic.

Brandon Weims, director of scouting at the Cleveland Cavaliers, told CNN-affiliated WWS that her sister runs a day care at her residence.

“She had a passion and love for children,” Brandon Weams said. “It simply came to our notice then.

In a statement, Cavaliers general manager Kobe Altman said the organization was “deeply saddened” by the death of Weims’ sister.

“Our hearts are heavy and full of pain from this foolish act,” Altman said in a condolence note. “We will stay with Brandon in these extremely difficult times and offer our assistance and resources to help Erica get justice.”
