Leaked Call of Duty 2020 details: maps, Warzone, modes, features, more

A massive leak has emerged about the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2020 title, revealing new details about the game’s features, modes, maps, and how it will work with Warzone.

The Call of Duty community is still awaiting an official reveal for the 2020 game, which is currently being developed by Treyarch and is expected to be called “Black Ops,” according to speculation and leaks.

On June 26, prominent YouTuber TheXclusiveAce posted a video (which has since been set to private) discussing many never-before-revealed details about the game, which he obtained from an “unidentified source” who has direct knowledge and even showed him footage. gameplay and map overviews.

According to the leak, the upcoming CoD will feature a single-player, multiplayer, zombie campaign, and will exist alongside Warzone, confirming that the battle royale will continue to exist beyond Modern Warfare.

Multiplayer

Maps and modes

Apparently, there are 10 multiplayer maps developed so far, and all are nearing completion. They are “Treyarch-style,” meaning that CoD will likely revert to its traditional three-lane design.

One of them is “very small”, located in a boat that is in the Black Sea, and another called Tank, which was shown in the leak of the game that appeared in early June. Of course, this follows an earlier leak stating that several old-school maps from the Black Ops series will also be remastered for this title.

When it comes to modes, the standard playlists will be 6v6 and Gunfight won’t be back, which means there probably won’t be that many options with fewer players. However, there is supposed to be a new mode taking place in various sections of the Warzone map.

Characteristics

Here’s a list of features that TheXclusiveAce’s origin claims will be added and / or brought to for the next CoD game.

  • Swimming mechanic
  • Standard mini map (red dots are shown when the enemy team is shooting)
  • Compass remains in HUD (introduced in Modern Warfare)
  • Unlimited sprint
  • There are no interactive doors.
  • There are no specialists, but a field update function will return
  • Players will get a piece of equipment to choose from
  • Scorestreaks will return
  • There is no dead silence right now
  • 150 health (similar to Black Ops 4) but has automatic healing.
  • Create-A-Class is “unique”: a hybrid between pick-10 and classic, but without a gunsmith.

War zone

The YouTuber video reaffirms that Warzone will be the main battle royale during the life of CoD 2020, backing up all Activision’s speculation and comments that they will continue to support BR after Modern Warfare.

According to the leak, there will be a new Russia-based map released at game launch, and TheXclusiveAce claims to have seen an overview of it. There will be water in it that players can enter and swim in, as the same multiplayer mechanics will also be in BR.

Warzone will continue to be the main battle royale after the launch of Call of Duty 2020.

Of course, all of this information is based on a leak and should be treated as such, as nothing is official until Activision formally announces the game. Speaking of which, there is still no timetable as to when CoD 2020 will be revealed; They have traditionally been presented no later than the end of May, but the circumstances are obviously different this year.

In fact, they haven’t even officially named Treyarch as the lead developer, despite the fact that it’s common knowledge at this point, the company took over from Sledgehammer Games in early 2019.
