Larry King has suffered a terrible tragedy, Page Six has learned.
We are told that two of the children of the legendary broadcaster have died in the last three weeks.
Sources say his son Andy suddenly passed away a few weeks ago, and his daughter, Chaia, died Thursday after battling a chronic illness.
Chaia was 51 and Andy was 65.
Larry, 86, adopted Andy in 1962 after marrying his mother, Alene Akins. Larry and Akins owned Chaia in 1969.
“Larry and his three remaining children are scared, and Larry is still recovering from his own health problems from last year,” an insider said.
Another added, ‘He did two live shows [of Hulu’s “Politiking with Larry King”]. It’s his way of processing. ”
The host of “Larry King Live” is also the father of Larry Jr., from his second marriage, and sons Chance and Cannon of college age, from his most recent marriage to Shawn King.
Larry wrote a children’s book, “Daddy Day, Daughter Day” with Chaia in 1997, in which she both gave her perspectives on his divorce from Akins.
Larry married Akins in 1969.
Akins himself died in 2017, with Larry tweeting at the time, ‘So very sad about the passing of Alone Akins, who died peacefully with our children Chaia and Andy by her side. She was a great lady. ”
As Page Six first reported, eighty-six-year-old Larry died almost last year after suffering a stroke.
He told us at the time that, despite his illness, he was extremely happy to spend time with his children.
A rep for Larry could not be reached.
