On Friday, Page Six reported that two of Larry King’s children have tragically died in the past three weeks.
And on Sunday, the legendary broadcaster spoke for the first time about their passing.
In a post on Facebook, King wrote, ‘It is with sadness and a father’s broken heart that I confirm the recent loss of two of my children, Andy King, and Chaia King. Both were good and kind souls and they will be greatly missed. ”
Chaia was 51 and Andy was 65.
“Andy died unexpectedly of a heart attack on July 28, and Chaia died on August 20, but shortly after being diagnosed with lung cancer,” he wrote, “the loss feels so out of order. No parent should have to bury a child. ”
“My family and I thank you for your outpouring of friendly feelings and well-being,” he added.
Larry, 86, adopted Andy in 1962 after marrying his mother, Alene Akins. Larry and Akins owned Chaia in 1969.
The host “Politicking with Larry King” is also the father of Larry Jr., from his second marriage, and sons Chance and Cannon of the university, from his most recent marriage to Shawn King.
