Large crowds at the Georgia-urn burn go viral in the COVID-19 era

The Georgia Bulldogs could come under fire from the Southeast Council for possible violations of COVID-19 regulations.

Several photos of Georgia fans cheering during their big SEC battle against rival Ub Burn Tigers on Saturday night at Sanford Stadium went viral. Many fans were packed together and not wearing masks.

The SEC issued guidelines in August to implement their schools.

One guide reads: “All guests must have a facial cover (such as over the nose and mouth) as a condition of entry, e.g., and stadium activity, and guests are unable to maintain the recommended physical distance at any time. Others who do not belong to their own household. ”

There was some speculation on social media that Georgia admitted more than 20-25 percent of fans to the stadium, the school said it would allow in August.

It seems that a large crowd has a good chance to be happy at home. The No. 4 Bulldogs jumped to a 24-3 halftime lead over the No. 7 Tigers.
