Lane Casper White Sox Radio Booth – Cubs Leaving TV for Athletic

As the Cubes do not start a busy off-season, the biggest departure comes from the broadcast booth. After 16 years as the team’s TV play-by-play man, Lane Casper has decided to quit his White Sox radio job, according to many sources.

The move will be officially announced on Friday morning on the White Sox’s new radio home ESPN 1000. Persper will team up with color analyst Darren Jackson, returning to the radio booth for his 13th season and his 22nd overall return to the team.

Last season, Andy Masoor partnered with Jackson after a long hiatus from radio and voice is ad farmer.

Multiple sources told Athletic that Chris Myers is the leading candidate to replace Casper in the Marquee Sports Network booth with analyst Jim Deschamps.

Myers was announced as a studio host and play-by-play advertiser during the Cubs Convention last January. He has ESPN. And … over a decade of broadcasting experience over a decade.
