Choreographer-to-director Raghav Lawrence is making her Bollywood debut as a ‘Lakshmasami Bomb’ with a remake of her film ‘Kanchna’. The trailer of the film has come out and Akshay Kumar, who is playing the lead role, stole the show.
For this remake, the basic plot is retained but the setup has changed. Akshay falls in love with female lead Kiara Advani and ends up in her place. Some events have him drowning in ghosts and Akshay has given a remarkable performance.
Come Maddie feels compelled in this trailer and doesn’t produce laughter like the original. But Akshay prepares for it with his transformation as a Vyan. The hairy sari she shared and the large vermilion on her forehead are somewhat fine.
For Telugu and Tamil audiences, the trailer may have repetitive appeal but for Hindi viewers, it is a good scenario.
Instead of theaters, ‘Lakshami Bomb’ will be released on November 9 on the Disney + Hotstar platform.
