Lady Colin Campbell has claimed to demonstrate that Meghan Markle wanted to outshine Princess Diana.
In her latest controversial book, titled Meghan And Harry: The Real Story, the aristocrat claims that the Duchess of Sussex attempted to fill the shoes of her husband’s late mother, known as the People’s Princess.
In her revealing book, Lady C, 70, discusses Prince Harry and Meghan’s motive for leaving the royal family and leaving behind the responsibilities that come with it.
Speaking to New magazine, the former Celebs Go Dating star described his unexpected move as “terribly sad” before suggesting that former actress Meghan is the mastermind behind the unprecedented decision.

She went on to claim that the American star did her best to overshadow Harry’s beloved mother before insisting that he is “much less intelligent” than his other half.
Lady C insisted: “It is a terribly sad situation. In my opinion, Harry is a much less intelligent character than her and I think he is so desperate to please her and accept what she says, no matter how ill-conceived he is.”
The controversial star shared her feelings that Harry would remain a member of the royal family if Meghan was not around.
“I think if Harry had married someone else, he would still be a member of the royal family and I think Meghan’s ambition was always to outshine Diana,” he insisted.

“Meghan’s ambition has always been to outshine Diana, but I think she misread the situation. She thought the enthusiasm would take her to Los Angeles, where she could become the big star she always wanted to be.”
Lady C continued, “But I don’t think it’s going to happen to her. I really do think she will fight to fulfill her ambition.”
The former I’m A Celeb star has made numerous cruel claims about Meghan in her new book, including that the Duchess was rude to guests at Harry’s best friend’s wedding.
Although it is unclear if he really knew the couple, Lady C insisted that a fountain spill the beans at Harry’s best friend Charlie Van Straubenzee’s wedding to Daisy Jenks.

The controversial writer claims that the duchess “froze” all the other guests at the celebration, and that it has cost Harry “most of his friends.”
She writes, “A girl came up to Meghan, introduced herself and said how beautiful she thought she was.
“She said she knew it was Meghan’s birthday and wished her a happy birthday. Meghan looked at her as if she had made a big mistake talking to her and left. It was very cold.”

The revealing book has been surrounded by controversy, and it even saw Phillip Scofield and Holly Willoughby row with Lady C during an interview with This Morning earlier this month.
