The tax bill, one of four executive orders on coronavirus relief signed by Trump Saturday night after congressional hearings broke down, has been criticized for doing nothing to help the unemployed and damage Social Security and Medicare funds. Democrats have also said companies are likely to continue to pay withholding tax to avoid a shocking bill for employees when the grace period ends.
But Kudlow on Sunday pointed out that Trump wants to make the tax bill permanent.
“I think the president, and it is in the executive order, would very much like to make the proposal a permanent one.
