Krispy Kreme worker walks donut 25 times through glass, creating monstrosity

There actually to be able to be too much of a good thing.

For many donut enthusiasts, there is nothing better than a new glass of Krispy Kreme donut, hot from the fryer. But what would happen if a donut lay through the glass a few extra times?

And what if a donut lay 25 times through the glass?

Apparently one Krispy Kreme worker decided to figure it out. Jack Jones posted a video to TikTok showing that an Orignal Glazed donut is glistening again and again. He then followed up this video with another, in which he and his friends try to eat the resulting stack of frosting (with a small amount of donut underneath).

In the first video, Jones explained that it was a slow day at work, so he and his colleagues decided to experiment. Apparently the shift manager was skeptical, but Jones and the other workers “told her it had to be done.”

He claims that it took an hour to complete 25 glasses, and that when it was all done, the glass of donut to be was too heavy to sit in a bag without breaking it.

The donut was also – falling apart – during the 25 glasses.

In the second video, Jones and his friends try to eat the donut. First, they show a cross-section of the ‘sample’ treatment, which consists of a thick layer of glass on top of the donut. Then comes the taste test: Of the four people who try it, three can only take one bite before giving up. The latter, however, could apparently complete the whole thing.

Together, both videos have been viewed more than 4.3 million times.

In other glass-related news from Krispy Kreme, the chain plans to open a flagship location in New York’s Times Square on Sept. 15, complete with a “theater” area that allows guests to view the donuts beneath one of the largest glass waterfalls in the company’s history, Fox 8 reports.
