“Knight Rider” star Rebecca Holden and has a record production manager, Joel Diamond, got a rude alarm clock in the dead of night … an oak tree came down on her property, and cost her a car in the process.
Joel tells TMZ … he and Rebecca were awakened Friday night by a loud noise literally tearing through their Calabasas house. It turned out to be part of a nearby oak tree of 6 tons that perished for some reason. We’re told the tree bursts through her bedroom window … and also crashes three cars down.
Unfortunately, one of those cars was Joel’s award-winning classic Jaguar – the back of which was completely torn down by the fallen wood. A total loss, no doubt. What sucks is, Joel tells that he got the whip just 2 days in advance from a car body shop.
No one was hurt, fortunately, but it sounds like some of Joel’s friends were pretty much under the impression of the freak phenomenon. Singer Tony Orlando – known for his # 1 hit, “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree” – made a crack … and said of all the trees he had ribboned over the years, Joel and Rebecca’s were through and far the most excellent.
Also … Joel says a top arborist in the area came by and praised the giant Oak, and valued it at about $ 250k. Talk about money growing on trees, huh ???
