“What is the message here, and why am I [a part] of it? “Dunst tweeted by Kanye West.
Kanye West’s presidential bid has been one of the wildest rides of pop culture in a year already filled with many. Beginning with a bombastic rally in South Carolina back in July, West has engaged in an already fractious political race to much controversy and many headaches. But it does not look good for the outspoken artist, who was rejected from voting in Illinois, Montana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Wisconsin due to negative submissions. However, he is leaping forward, and in the latest development, West has unveiled a puzzling campaign post via Twitter, and it includes the face of Kirsten Dunst, among others. The actress, who tweeted in response, wants to know why she’s part of his promotional material to begin with.
‘What is the message here, and why am I separate [sic] of it? Dunst tweeted. Anna Wintour is also featured under the faces on the poster, below. The photo of Dunst, which was revealed, was taken by Mario Testino for a Vanity Fair shoot from 2002. Prior to the primaries, Dunst publicly endorsed Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who recently commented on the Democratic National Convention in 2020. Dunst was last seen in the Showtime dark comedy series “On Becoming a God in Central Florida”, which aired in the fall and was picked up for a second season shortly thereafter. Next up she will star in ‘The Power of the Dog’, Jane Campion, for Elisabeth Moss, who had to withdraw from the film.
West has submitted to the polls in several other major states, including Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Virginia, but it is not yet known whether he will be eligible to run. West has been the target of scrutiny since the presidential rally, which saw him pontificate over everything from Harriet Tubman’s role in the Underground Railroad to his views on abortion, led to a major discussion on social media about the state of West; West admitted he was bipolar. His wife, Kim Kardashian West, later came out to ask for empathy because the family treated West’s mental health.
What is the message here, and why am I separate from it? 🤷🏼♀️
