ATHENS – Kirby Smart does not believe that an alternative uniform helps the team to play better.
In fact, Georgia’s head coach believes they could be distracted.
“I don’t get into the whole thing,” Smart said in his weekly radio show, “Uniforms will make them work faster. “If anything, you’re worried about the day it gets interrupted.
“We tried to get them all out with the release, let them understand that it’s not a big deal that they will wear uniforms of different colors,” Smart said. “The more they think about it, the less they will think about their opponent and what they need to do to play a good game.”
Smart, who wore an alternate red jersey and black pants uniform during his career with the Bulldogs, admitted that red pants Georgia wears on Saturday at 4pm in the season-opening of both teams in Arkansas (TV: SEC Network). Game.
“I like the broad white stripes on the red, it’s a kind of pops,” said Smart. “I know the players are excited about them.
