King of the Dead Season 10 Final: Those Fantastic Soldiers, explained

King Dead returned for the same episode, which was originally the finale of the series. For the most part, this new installment, titled “A Certin Doom,” ran much shorter instead. AMC’s decision to announce the show will come to an end next season after disqualifying many of the episodes of the episode. However, one is still worth noting.

Warning: Season 10 running down, episode 16 – “Absolute Doom.” If you haven’t seen this episode yet, stop reading now.

Towards the end of the episode, Eugene (Josh McDermott), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuara), Ezekiel (Khari Payton) and Princess (Paola Lazarus) face a group of heavily armed and armed soldiers who order them to drop their weapons. Given that this is a zombie apocalypse and it looks like no one on their show has done their laundry for over a decade, the soldiers’ ancient, white armor stands out mainly – and it should.

These soldiers are really drawn from the kicks mix and are probably setting the stage for the next main villain in the show, now the whisperers are dead and buried. The team represents a group called the Commonwealth, which was introduced in the 175th issue.

In the com com mix, the Commonwealth is a community of 50,000 survivors spread across various colonies – all under the leadership of Commonwealth Governor Pamela Milton. It remains to be seen how closely the show will stick to the Commonwealth comic book version, but they are a formidable foe for the final season of The King of the Dead.

Significantly, in the com mix, it is the introduction of the Commonwealth that ultimately led to the death of Rick Grimes. Of course, since Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is already off the show, some big changes will have to be made. With the end of The Walking Dead in sight, however, it is fitting that the last major comic book villain is entering the TV series.

W21 King Dead will return in early 2021, with six more season 10 episodes back.
