Nick Dinsmore was a guest on The Chris Van Wallet Show. Eugene, who spent time in the early days of the black and yellow brand as a trainer at OVW and later at NXT, revealed a backstage story about former Universal Champion Kevin Owens.
Densmore said how he found out that Kevin Owens’ in-ring debut was in Canada at Jack Rou Guy’s independent show. Rage Xu wrestled as The Moon in his WWE career. A few days later, Dinsmore informed Owens that he planned to give him a ‘new monty’ game. Ons heard this and almost started crying, according to Dinsmore.
Although Densmore felt the game could be great, he said Owens apparently looked terrified. Thanks to Ons that it never happened:
So, Kevin Owens is sitting in the ringside because he’s just watching class. I sat next to him. He said the first time he ever wrestled was for the same Rou Kas Rage Gau. He kind of acted like someone really helped train him, but for some reason, the first show was Jack Rou Zoe. So, a few days pass. I came back and said, ‘They got a new character for you. They will bring you in as a new monti. He started crying. ‘You can’t do that to them.’ I said, ‘No, it’s going to be great! It will be wonderful! You will have a red thing.
