While the meeting was going on, Wildtats was blowing wind in a turbine, which made the building work an unbeatable pace. They set a 1-point narrow lead over Alabama on the day. Thursday was their most challenging day as they finished the final season in 5th place, although they were separated by only 22 points from 2nd to 5th.

After day 3, Florida and Kentucky separated themselves from the rest of the pack, with a difference of 8 points between them, in the first and 3rd, respectively. Leading Kentucky drive was on day 3 Lauren Poole And Gillian Dave In 400, finishing 1-2, Easy speed Put 3G in 100 fly, Relay Gains 200 free win, Caitlin Brooks 3rd place in the 100 backs, and the Kentucky 400 medley cracked the top 3.

Saturday Wildcat was no different for Saturdays who finished 200-3 behind 200 (Sophie Sorensen And Brooks) and second in 200 breasts (Davy.), Kentucky already established a 103-point lead over the University of Florida.

The Wildcats won the victory with the two swimmers who arrived on their campus as stars, Sorensen who became the Iowa State Record holder at 100 yards back (54.61), training with the swimmers to become a star. For example, last year Poole was 13th in the 200m and 24th in the 400m. Brooks was ranked 15th in the 100 Fly last year and is now ranked 9th with a new lifetime best.

Another big source of Kentucky’s lead is the fact that they finished highest in the final heat with 17 17 and 18 swimmers in the final session on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Here’s a break from how many points each school swimmer has earned in individual events:

Most of Kentucky’s points came from their junior class, while their senior and new class had the lowest scores in the class. This means that most of the top point-scorers will return in the 2021-2022 season and can regain key points for the team. Alabama was similar to Kentucky, whose senior class scored 30 of their 657 total points.
