Two key members of the Lions Offense have been placed on the reserve list / COVID-19.
The NFL daily transaction report brings the news that wide receiver Kenny Golladay and tight end TJ Hockenson have been listed by the team. Defender Jalen Elliott, defender Amani Oruwariye and bettor Arryn Siposs will also be out of action because they tested positive or were quarantined due to close contact with an infected person.
If the players have tested positive, they must follow certain protocols to return. Asymptomatic players must wait 10 days from the positive test or the negative test twice within 24 hours at least five days after the positive test. Symptomatic players will be away for at least 10 days from when they experienced symptoms and must be 72 hours without symptoms. A doctor’s authorization is also required for players in both categories.
Players who are in close contact with an infected person and have a negative result may return after a second negative test within 24 hours of receiving the results of the first. They will also be evaluated daily for the next week.
Golladay had 65 catches for 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. Hockenson, a 2019 first-round pick, had 32 catches for 367 yards and two touchdowns before landing on the injured reserve.
