Kelly Ripa occasionally posts shirtless photos of her husband Mark Consuelos on social media, a decision her 19-year-old daughter Lola Consuelos rejected.

In the family issue of People magazine, which was published on Wednesday, the mother-daughter duo talked about their activity on social media. Eventually, the television personality’s habit of sharing “thirst” of Lola’s father arose.

The teen, who is a rising sophomore at New York University, explained that she would rather not think about her father’s photos.

“That’s disgusting,” Lola said, referring to Mark’s photos.

She went on, “I block that out of my mind. I forget you did that yourself.”

Lola also had some advice for Ripa, who currently has 2.8 million followers on Instagram.

“Something that my mom posts on social media that I never would be is the comments back to the haters,” she said, adding, “I just don ‘t think you should give her the time of day. I mean , these people sitting at home wish they were you. “

The talk show host – who also shares sons Michael, 23, and Joaquin, 17, with Mark – told her daughter that she and her critics have a “healthy relationship”.

“I think it’s a give and take because the people I knock back on are very smart,” she said. “They’re usually very funny, I usually get a good chuckle out of it. They deserve the little pepper! They deserve it. They need it.”

In the past, Ripa has written funny comebacks to internet users commenting on her weight, her relationship with her husband and her physical appearance.

The key to maintaining a healthy balance on social media, according to Ripa, is not to take yourself too seriously.

“For me, I look at social media the way I see most parts of my life – it’s incredibly stupid,” she told InStyle.

“It’s a pleasure I have when I’m actually sitting in traffic, going to an airport, to the dentist, or when I have time. When I clap back, I’m very painted and I have time on my hands.”
