Kelly Preston’s daughter honored the actress for having a “light that never stops shining” in a moving tribute after her death from breast cancer.
“I have never met anyone as brave, strong, beautiful and loving as you,” Ella Travolta, Preston’s 20-year-old daughter with John Travolta, wrote on Instagram.
“Anyone who is lucky enough to have met you or been in your presence will agree that you have a glow and a light that never stops shining and that makes anyone around you instantly happy. Thanks for being there for me, whatever happens. “
Travolta announced Sunday night that his wife had died at 57 after a secret two-year battle with breast cancer.
“It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” she wrote on Instagram. “She bravely fought with the love and support of many.”
The couple, who were married for 28 years, met during the filming of “The Experts” in 1988.
In addition to Ella, they also shared a 9-year-old son, Benjamin.
They had another son, Jett, who died in 2009 after a seizure at the family’s vacation home in the Bahamas.
Travolta said Sunday that he will take a break after Preston’s death “to be there for my children who have lost their mother.”
