Katy Perry unveiled the Laugh track “What Makes a Woman” on Thursday (Aug. 20).
The track was produced by Johan Carlsson, and co-produced by Elvira Anderfjärd, and is now available together with an abbreviated version.
The pregnant pop star previously called a Lebanese radio station to reveal that “What Makes a Woman” is dedicated to her unborn child. “There’s a song on the record called ‘What Makes a Woman,'” Perry wanted NRJ Lebanon in June. “That’s a hope I have for my future children is that she has no boundaries for any of her dreams, or what she wants to be, or who she thinks she is. And, you know, she can change whenever she wants. She does not have to … she can try anything she wants; find out what suits her. And that I think song is important and important to me. “
Laugh will serve as Perry’s first release since 2017’s Witness. Prior to hopeful ballad “Daisies” as his lead single, KP5 is expected to hit retailers on August 28 via Capitol Records.
