Katy Perry presents the delay news for the album ‘Smile’ with a cake on her face: see the announcement

Katy Perry did not want to disturb KatyCats when she announced on Monday (July 27) that her fifth album Smile It won’t appear until August 28. Then she did something silly to turn her brows.

“Welp. I hate to throw this bad news at you like a cake in the face … but if there is one thing that 2020 taught me, it is not sticking too much to the plans and being malleable,” he wrote on Instagram as the title of a series of photos where the pop star received, welp, a cake in the face.

The inevitable production delays pushed the release date back from August 14-28, but he’s not done slapstick anytime soon: To make up for the two-week delay, Perry reserved almost every Sunday in August for #SmileSundays.

“To make up for this, starting this Sunday (August 2) and until the album drops (or until #Babycat … whichever comes first) join the #SmileSundays!” She continued. “Every Sunday, TBA time soon, I will be LIVE for 30 minutes or more and I will talk all over SMILE you will see a new merchandise … I will touch some fragments … maybe we will go live together … we will definitely have a good conversation ! “

With the finish line for his album coming soon, Perry lovingly thanked his fans for staying for the marathon. “Clowns-n-Cats – Thanks for being so flexible right now … it’s crazy, sure, but I hope it’s worth the wait!” the 35-year-old superstar concluded.
