Kate Beckinsale revealed that she lost her pregnancy “years ago” and kept it quiet because of “grief, shame and trauma” at the time.
The “Underworld” actress opened up about her story this week amid criticism of sharing photos of Chrissy Tigan from a hospital holding her missing baby.
“Years ago, I lost a baby in 20 weeks,” Beckinsale, 47, said in a lengthy post on Friday. “I managed to keep my pregnancy quiet and I just fell inside and no one would know.”
She went on to say: “Grief, shame and trauma often come with an experience like this, plus after your body’s heartbreak continues, after the loss, as if it were a child to nurture.”
