Kanye West has turned up to appear on the New Jersey ballot in the November presidential election, state documents show.
The 43-year-old rapper collected 1,327 signatures, exceeding the 800 required by the deadline Monday for independent presidential candidates.
West similarly submitted documentation Monday to appear on the Missouri ballot and hopes to do the same in New York. You will need 30,000 signatures by the Thursday deadline at the Empire State Building.
The presidential hopeful, who currently lives in Cody, Wyoming, promised to participate in the birthday party, although the paperwork in New Jersey mentions his motto as “pending.”
West, who has bipolar disorder, announced he would run for president in a July 4 tweet, followed by a series of troubling posts about his marriage to Kim Kardashian and a hysterical first campaign in North Carolina.
Earlier this month, he submitted the $ 35,000 fee to appear on the November 3 ballot in Oklahoma and documentation of the Statement of Organization with the Federal Election Commission.
