Residents of those Greek homes have been told to stay away for 14 days after the outbreak was announced. The Riley County Health Department said Friday that there are six cases each in the Alpha Delta Pi and Alpha Xi Delta, while there are five cases in the Chi Omega and Kappa Delta.
At least 36 of the U.S. states. More than 0 universities and colleges have reported positive cases of Covid-1, and some have returned to distance education to prevent the spread. More than 8,700 infections were reported among students and staff at American College Ledge during Friday, as the nation approaches 6 million confirmed cases.
In the state of Kansas, event permits associated with comrades and sorority organizations have been revoked or revoked by Sept. 10.
The county said in a statement that it was no longer considered safe to hold these events in person and would not be held.
On the Manhattan campus, 4,364 students are in quarantine, and 177 students are in isolation, the school said in a news release, adding that the number of quarantines increased by 149 and loneliness by 49 since last week. The publication states that the entire student population reports a positive rate of 3.2%.
Meanwhile, the University of Kansas reported a 10% positive rate in its Greek community, with 270 members testing positively in the sorority and community members there. That campus, in Lawrence, is about 75 miles from Kansas State.
Statewide, more than 40,000 coronavirus cases have been reported in Kansas, with 445 deaths.
