Kai Havertz ‘will discuss the future’ with Bayer Leverkusen after the season, cup final

In the fifth minute of added time of Saturday’s Pokal DFB Cup final, Kai Havertz scored a penalty kick with ridiculous poise. Unfortunately, his Bayer Leverkusen team was already losing a lot at that point, so the successful conversion was only established in the final score of 4-2, with Bayern Munich completing the Domestic Double.

Could it have been the final act of the coveted Havertz in a Leverkusen t-shirt?

According to German Transfer Oracle Christian Falk, there is a good chance that it was. The 21-year-old is ready for talks about his future at the club.

If Kai, who has two years left on his current contract, is looking for an exit, Chelsea should surely be considered a favorite.

Bayern Munich have already made it clear that they will not move this summer, in true Bayern style, they prefer to wait a year to beat their Bundesliga competitors, and Real Madrid is not entirely convinced either (yet?). That should put Chelsea in an excellent position, especially if previous reports that the Blues are “maxed out,” or at least as much as $ 80 million, for the wonder boy are true.

Leverkusen has no intention of giving Havertz a discount, but Chelsea can still pay, albeit at the cost of giving up any major defensive reinforcement. But, in the bottom line of things, it might be worth breaking the bank for Havertz as part of the long-term plan (that is, beyond next season, strictly).

Agent Rüdiger, who has already played a decisive role in the signing of Timo Werner, would undoubtedly be a happy bunny, and he is probably far from being alone in that regard.

“Kai is talented, when I saw him train with the German national team I thought,” wow! “I’d be lying to you if I said I don’t want him at Chelsea.

True true.
