Juventus had a masculine advantage, but did not take advantage of it until the second half when they beat Lecce 4-0 with goals from Ronaldo, Dybala, Higuaín and De Ligt.
Juventus Player Ratings
Tek: Two direct saves in the first half when Lecce started the brighter of the two sides, but was seen as a spectator for much of the second half. 6.0 / 10
Juan Cuadrado: An unfortunate early mistake when he let Lecce into the goal with a terrible pass: he made two quick interceptions thereafter to redeem himself halfway, but his crossing was terrible for most of the game. 6.0 / 10
Leonardo Bonucci Solid and smooth in the first ’45. I had a great effort on goal and seemed totally in control at the rear. 6.5/ 10
Matthijs De Ligt: Good at the back and had a couple of half chances at the other end: He put in a great effort on goal in the second half and the goalkeeper simply denied it before passing the ball down the line at the end of the second half. His third goal for Juventus. Magnificent 7.0/ 10
Blaise Matuidi: He constantly seemed out of position, which doesn’t feel entirely his fault. He had a decent shot on goal in the second half and seemed more composed in the second half. 6.0 / 10
Midfield
Adrien Rabiot: He had a decent early opportunity to open the scoring, testing the keeper from range, but other than that he did little and was eliminated. 5.5 / 10
Miralem Pjanic: He seems …… anonymous like many of the other recent games for opening 45. Marginally better and more in control in the second half. 6.0 / 10
Rodrigo Bentancur: The only midfielder who seemed to run at first, winning the free kick that sent Lecce to 10 men and making a great run towards his own half to stop a Lecce attack. 6.5 / 10
Attack
Cristiano Ronaldo: He seemed really out of line, missing a great header opportunity before putting up a good cross for Bernardschi to waste. Better to start in the second half, leaving the ball for Dybala to finish before winning and converting a penalty kick. He had a great opportunity for another, but put his head to the goalkeeper directly before installing Higuain. Electric. 7.5 / 10
Federico Bernardeschi: I spent most of the first half out of the game before skiing a great opportunity. 5.5 / 10
Paulo Dybala: Constantly falling deep to pick up and roam the field, but left Juve without a presence in the area. He started the last 45 ′ with a beautiful ending to put Juve ahead. Putting in a great free kick that should have turned. 7.0 / 10
Substitutes:
Douglas Costa: She immediately injected some rhythm into a slow-looking Juve and her careers helped her get ahead. 6.5 / 10
Aaron Ramsey: I had a good run and it impacted more to stabilize the midfield with some fresh legs – he shot a good effort straight at Gabriel 6.0 / 10
Gonzalo Higuain: Good to see him back, and he almost had an instant impact, shooting a long distance from the far post. He waited for his time and achieved his goal with a lethal end. 7.0 / 10
Simone Muratore: A decent race for the young man before leaving for Atalanta. 6.0 / 10
