Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Justin Jefferson was trying to clear the air on Sunday after he was caught on a hot mic at his quarterback Kirk Cousins.
The moment came at the end of the second quarter, 20-7, with the Vikings trailing the Chicago Bears. The cousins went behind the pass and experienced a rush of bear protection. He tried to hit Jefferson in the back of the end zone but was overturned.

The former LSU standout wanted to make sure the emotions in the game with him got the best of him at the time so he shouldn’t be seen as a diva wide receiver.

Jefferson has become one of the Vikings’ top broad receivers this season and is in the running to win the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year.
In his first season as a pro-footballer he has seven touchdowns and 73 catches for 1,182 yards.

The Vikings have no best season. Minnesota is 6-8 this season and there is still little controversy for the NFC playoff spot, although their prospects are slipping.
