Justin Boots factories in Cassville, Carthage closed

CASSVILLE, Mo. – Justin Boots factories in Cassville and Cartago are closing.

The factories employed nearly 300 workers, many of whom had been laid off since March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Justin Boots outlet stores in Monett and Joplin will remain open, according to a spokesperson.

A spokesperson for Justin Brands, Inc. shared the following statement:

“The closure of the Justin and Chippewa factories in Cassville and Carthage, Missouri was a difficult decision brought about by unprecedented times. Unfortunately, economic reality has forced us to make difficult decisions that are necessary to maintain the legacy of our brands throughout a long time to come. We recognize the skill that has been dedicated to Missouri-produced footwear over the years, so we’ve asked our Missouri workers to consider moving to one of our other factories. High quality is an art, and we value your skills, loyalty, and dedication. “

The company’s headquarters is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
