The bankruptcy of its parent company means the closure of more than 600 favorite Justice locations among teenagers.
New Jersey-based Ascena, which operates Justice, Lane Bryant, Catherine’s Ann Taylor, Loft and other stores, filed for bankruptcy Thursday. The bankruptcy means the closure of around 1,600 of the company’s 2,800 stores, including what it described as a “significant” number of locations for Justice and all of Catherine’s stores.
Justice currently has around 820 locations, but will now be primarily moving to an online retailer. Store closing sales are already underway and will continue for the next 30-60 days. Discounts are now offered online.
