“Just No Dates”: Los Angeles Clippers Coach Peeks at Life Inside the Orlando Bubble

Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers was the last to praise the facilities within the NBA bubble in Orlando,

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Rivers felt there was plenty to do inside the bubble, except for dates.

“There are restaurants, the boys can go fishing, there are bowling, there are movies, there is a lot. There are simply no dates. You’re doing it alone or with a group. ” Rivers said (Via Farhood Esnaashari of Sports Illustrated).

Los Angeles Clippers to target championship

As the Clippers prepare to restart their campaign, they will have their eyes on the title. The Clippers’ summer signings significantly strengthened the team. They signed last season’s Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, making them title contenders. With the two aside, the Clipper had a good start to the season. Before the league’s suspension, the Clippers were second in the Western Conference with 44 wins in 64 games. Four months later, when the team resumed practice sessions, Rivers felt the players had shown good form.

“I know that in terms of conditioning, overall, we’ve shown ourselves to be in very good shape. I was pleasantly surprised there. ” he said.

Entering the bubble as a team to restart the season has not been easy for the Clippers. Rookie Terrance Mann said the team had about five different sessions discussing a possible comeback to end the season.

The Clippers will restart their campaign with a game against their local rivals Los Angeles Lakers on July 30. They will later have games against the New Orleans Pelicans Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks before playing Portland Trail Blazers. They finish their seed games after playing Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder.
