Junior dos Santos calls retirement an ‘enormous waste’ – ‘I live an excellent moment’

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos has now lost three straight fights against the Top 10 competition, with each defeat ending in a brutal knockout.

Considering that “Cigano” is 36 with a history of life-changing wars, there was talk of retirement after the Brazilian went up in flames to Jairzinho Rozenstruik at the UFC 252 pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend in Las Vegas .

Not bart.

“It really worries me because it’s the third consecutive loss,” Dos Santos told MMA Fighting. “I know what I’m up to, and I know my skills, I see myself technically and physically in great shape as an athlete, and having no positive results makes no sense. I feel great that I think it would be an enormous waste to consider at the moment (retirement). I plan to move forward and work hard to get better, and show that I am living an excellent moment. ”

Dos Santos is now stopped in six of eight losses.

In sports as well as any league, doing everything right but losing in any case normally means that the competition was better. I know that can be difficult for an athlete to accept, especially a gamer like Dos Santos, but the data (and his own comments) support that theory.

It will be interesting to see how the promotion suits him to move forward. Even with his recent inning, the 21-8 Dos Santos still retains victories over Stipe Miocic, Derrick Lewis, and Fabricio Werdum, to name just a few.

Any suggestions?
