With COVID-19 still all over the United States, additional security measures have been put in place that eliminate a live audience. How was the first live show?

The show started as usual with Chen giving a preview of where things are in the game. On the block stood Keesha and Kevin, because Enzo did not use his Power of Veto to save one of Cody’s nominations.

When it was time for the nominated housemates to plead for their fellow members, Keesha said she felt ‘some energy’ in the house. She thanks “most” for the good luck of the participant. Kevin, on the other hand, said he did not have many friends in life and he could connect with some in the BB house.

As head of the household, Cody did not participate in the eviction process. Chen called each of the housekeepers one by one in the Diary Room to cast her vote to evacuate. It was a unanimous decision that Keesha sent packing.

Before Chen revealed who the evicted housemate was, she reminded Keesha and Kevin to wear their face mask and walk straight to the empty chair for their exit interview. When the doors opened, there were no cheers from an audience or a hug from Chen. To not disturb the extreme silence, the music played louder in the background.

Julie Chen signs off in the usual way

After Chen Keesha interviewed and played her the farewell messages of the people who just stood out to her, it was time for the HOH league. This week, players had to answer True or False after watching a set of videos. Chen asked a question about what they just saw and therefore had to answer. Eventually, it was Memphis who took the key and will nominate two co-owners for eviction.

Fans who have seen Big Brother over the years, know that the shows are live eviction formula. There’s a process that CBS has not wanted to measure in a very long time. The script has remained the same for many seasons, so if there is change, fans will notice.

Let’s all remember when Chen started dating Chen Moonves, with her husband’s last name.

On last night’s show, Chen said, “Remember the Golden Rule, do with others as you want them to do to you.”

Fans react in confusion

It didn’t take long before fans tweeted during the live show that they were confused with Chen’s quote. In the comments online, viewers tried to decipher what the host meant.

“I wondered if it was meant to be a message to the public or to the public about the housekeepers,” one of tweeted.

“Reading too much into things is my specialty, but what if it means the first few votes will go out against those who put it off?” a viewer questioned.

‘I have a guess – something to do with the death of Sumner Redstone. But that is just a wild guess, ”a Twitter user noted.

Fans will be really excited to see the next live show to see how Chen performs.

Big Brother broadcasts Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at 8 a.m. ET on CBS.
