Judi Dench reveals how to make Tik Tok videos ‘save’ her life


Known for her critically acclaimed and award-winning performances in films like Shakespeare in love and PhilomenaJudi Dench is a certified Hollywood legend. But amid COVID-19 shutdown orders, the 85-year-old woman has become a viral Tik Tok star, recently revealing how the social media platform saved her life.

Judi Dench’s career is full of achievements

For nearly 70 years, Dench has captivated audiences with his immense talent. The English actress began her career in the theater and then joined the Royal Shakespeare Company. After working on stage for almost 20 years, she turned to television and movies and began landing roles on major projects.

After winning BAFTA for his performances in A room with a view and A handful of dustDench begins to take on big commercial movies. In 1995, he took on the role of M in the James Bond movie of Pierce Brosnan, Golden eye. Throughout his impressive career, Dench has collected seven Academy Award nominations and one victory for Shakespeare in love. She won 10 BAFTA Awards, two Golden Globes, two SAG Awards and a Tony Award for her performance in Amy’s sight. In 1998 Dench received the honor of Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, and is later known as Dame Judi Dench.

Dench is becoming a Tik Tok viral star

Earlier this year, Dench and his grandson, Sam Williams, started making videos together for Tik Tok. Its content quickly went viral, turning the movie star into a Tik Tok star overnight. In some of the videos, Williams asks sarcastic questions to her grandmother, to which she answers surprisingly.

“So, mom, why do you tell an actor to break his leg,” he asks, hoping she doesn’t know the answer. “Because every play has to have a cast,” Dench responds wildly.

In other videos, the two are seen performing viral Tik Tok dances together. Some of her videos have already garnered over 1 million views.

The actor says that Tik Tok saved his life

In a recent conversation with Channel 4 News, Dench addressed the COVID-19 blockade situation and spoke about how it is affecting those who work in the theater. She also revealed that, in this moment of isolation, Tik Tok became a great creative outlet for her, and she credits him for keeping her well.

“It saved my life,” he said. “I don’t know anything about TikTok. Sam is the technical minded person and has all the ideas, so he became very strict. ”

Dench explained that in isolation, he began to feel bad. She said that making the Tik Tok videos and keeping busy with art has kept her routine.

“You wake up and wonder what day it is, then you wonder what date it is and sometimes what month,” Dench said. “So you think, ‘What am I doing today?’ and the prospect is, ‘Well, what is there to do today?’

“I was planning to learn every sonnet from Shakespeare,” he added. “I have about nine, and there are 154, so I have a little way to go. I painted a little bit and talked to friends and I tried my TikTok and I did it with Sam. “
