A Philadelphia Phillies pitcher was hit in the abdomen on Thursday by a 105 mph line drive … and the ball caught so fast with the man of the man-mess – he needed a choice to leave the field.
Relief pitcher Jose Alvarez sat against the Blue Jays outside planner Lourdes Gurriel at the bottom of the 5th – when LG launched a comebacker that found its way directly into Alvarez’s crotch.
Oh my Jose Alvarez right in the ….

Alvarez was able to shake off the pain long enough to get it out first … but soon after, the guy crawled to the grass, won, and grabbed his ding-dong area.
Jose was on the field for several minutes … before, finally, coaches loaded him onto a cart to take him into the locker room.
Not clear the extent of Jose’s injuries … but guy gave a wave on his way from the diamond – a decent sign that everything might be fine after all.
But man. Yikes.
