JoJo Siwa is no longer blonde!
The 17-year-old “Nonstop” singer stunned fans when she posted a video of herself on Instagram over the weekend showing a radical transformation of her signature look. She started out wearing her typical side ponytail and oversized tie, but then a change of scene revealed new, long, dark locks.
“Wait …..” Siwa captioned the quick clip, in which a voiceover says, “Girl, don’t do it, it’s not worth it.” In response, Siwa said, “I’m not going to do it girl, I was just thinking about it, I’m not going to do it.”
A moment later she appears in the same outfit but with a brand new ‘do’, complete with flowing curls.
“I WAS NOT READY FOR THAT,” posted one fan.
“I love it!” wrote another
“COLOR ADAPTS SO MUCH I CAN’T EVEN OMG,” exclaimed a third.
This is not the first time that the former “Dance Moms” star, known for her eccentric style, has changed her look.
In April, when he was trying to reach 19 million TikTok followers, he complied with a fan’s request to dress “normally” for a day. In a clip posted on TikTok, he wore a black T-shirt with a unicorn and dropped his wavy locks.
However, the change was only temporary. The next day, Siwa returned to wearing a shiny outfit and a bow.
Siwa showed off his tan appearance shortly after denying allegations on social media that the recent music for his song “Nonstop” included blackface. Siwa said the dancer in question, who wore brown makeup and ears, was dressed as a jumpsuit to accompany the circus theme from the video. (Other dancers were made up such as zebra, tiger, strong man, and mermaid.)
“… We are talking about children dressed as circus animals!” The singer posted to Instagram on Friday. “No one in my video has a black face.”
