John Krasinski secretly wore a wig in ‘The Office’ season 3

John Krasinski may have learned a few tricks from his character, Jim Halpert.

While filming season 3 of “The Office,” the 40-year-old actor outclassed his showrunners to let him wear a wig for the past six episodes so he could cut his hair for the 2008 movie “Leatherheads.”

The show’s stylist Kim Ferry recently revealed to Mashable that she helped Krasinski plan after showrunner Greg Daniels rejected her request.

“He paid for the wig, a human hair wig made by a friend of mine, Natascha Ladek, who is the best wig maker in town,” said Ferry. “She came in to do a little secret adaptation, made the wig, we got it and it looked amazing. [Krasinski] I arrived a little later that day, and he had the wig hidden in a little secret place ready for him. When it was just him and me, I put it on, and then he went out and filmed. “

Although the couple had agreed not to reveal their antics until the next day, Krasinski decided to go directly to Daniels’ office and confront him.

“Greg kept saying, ‘No! I would know if you wear a wig. Then John leaned over the desk and said, “No, I don’t think you would,” said Ferry. “It was then that he tore it off and turned it off, and we had to make the wig.”

He added that Daniels told the couple that “they had balls” for working behind their backs.

“It was stressful, but it turned out okay. Thank goodness, ”said Ferry.
