Las Vegas Raiders head coach John Gruden was not happy to see his team lose to the Atlanta Falcons for the first time in a 6-4 43-6 defeat. It was better not to see him again.

“Do you ever go to the dentist and have your teeth pulled? It’s pretty much like that, ”Gruden said Monday, via Josh Dubois Associated Press. “This was difficult, man.”

The raiders turned the ball five times against the Falcons. Six If you calculate the turnover on the downs on the team’s early possession at fourth-and -1. He had 11 penalties for 141 yards and the offense against the league’s 27th-ranked total defense and 31st-ranked pass defense was managed in just 243 yards.

“Fourth and -1 we have the ball, we go for it, we get denied,” Gruden said. The front possession, first down, we take shots circling the offensive play-protection defense, the sac-strip. Halfway through, we were going for points, the sack-strip flashed. At the start of the third quarter, we are in a great field position, a barrier to touchdown. We force the kicker to miss the goal on the field, we rough the kicker and end up getting seven (points) out of it.

“There was nothing pleasant about watching the tape.”

The Kansas City had a win over the Chiefs earlier this year and just a week before another really strong game against the Chiefs, the Raiders began to look like the real playoff team until the uprising in Atlanta. They still have a chance to make the playoffs in the final five weeks but the loss to the Falcons has wiped out a lot of their margins.
