Joey King apparently called out her ex-boyfriend and co-star, Jacob Elordi, after he claimed he had not seen her Netflix movie, The Kissing Booth 2.
The actor, who plays Noah Flynn in the film, told Variation that he has not seen the sequel, which premieres on the streaming network July 24. “I have not seen it,” said Elordi. ‘You’ve seen more than I have. I do not know if I can say that, but I do not. ‘
He went on with kinda-sorta – the film was completely tarnished by telling the interviewer to “be honest” when they said they liked the romcom.
Quotes from Elordi soon made headlines and appeared to have inspired a reaction from King, who could not help but dismiss after his interview remarks in a since-deleted tweet. ‘Jacob looked at it. He stops, ”she wrote, according to Us weekly. (Abbreviation is slang for lies, VAT.)
The exes started dating in 2017, shortly after they first met and collaborated on the first Kissing Booth film. King opened until Bello Magazine about how their relationship began.
“Was it love at first sight? Well, I thought he was very nice when we first met, but it started as a friendship,” she admitted in 2018. “Right away we talk about gross things with each other. But for a long time I started to realize, ‘Hey, I think I like this person!’
“It was such an interesting experience to meet your friend on set, because you spend so much time together and get so close so quickly,” King added. ‘We spent 17 hours a day together, and we would all hang out at work and watch movies and things together. It was great.”
Messages brought them up after one year, but Elordi and King still had to share the screen to play a few in the sequel to the film.
At the moment, it is both rumors that they have been merged with other costers. Rumors have recently started flying that Joey King is dating her Kissing Booth 2 costar Taylor Zakhar Perez, who plays her other potential love interest Marco Peña, when the couple were photographed together on holiday.
As for Elordi, he is romantically linked to his Euphoria costar Zendaya after they were seen kissing in New York City. The couple has yet to publicly confirm if they are an article.
It does not matter who is with whom, we hope Elordi finally got a chance to see The Kissing Booth 2.
