The Cincinnati Bengals hope to have something special in the long run with the tandem of Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins.
Higgins finally returned to live action Sunday after battling a minor hamstring problem and got away with a major takeaway – Burrow swings the rock with some serious force.
Here is his quick comment on the matter, per ESPNs Ben Baby: “The first time he threw a ball, it was a ball. It shocked me. ”
Higgins will have to adjust soon, as AJ Green is still out with a hamstring injury of his own. Sunday also saw the return of John Ross, meaning Ross, Higgins and Tyler Boyd figure come across the field together.
This is an important stretch for Higgins as he gets some notable snaps in the regular season. The first pick of the second round now has a chance to get a strong report with Burrow remaining just a few weeks before week 1.
