Jessica Krug: Professor Professor George Washington resigns from Washington University for lying about being black

In a statement obtained by CNN on Wednesday, the university said, “Dr. Krug has resigned effectively immediately. His classes for this semester will be taught by other faculty members, and students of those courses will receive additional information this week.” The university said in a statement obtained Wednesday by CNN.

He continued, “We hope that with this update our community can recover and move forward.”

Requests for comment from Professor Krug, a history historian specializing in Africa and Latin America, have not been returned.

The resignation comes in response to Krug’s essay, published on September 3, in which Krug admitted to masquerading as North African, African American, and “Bronx blackness of Caribbean descent” during his adult life. She said she really is from White, Jewish and Kansas City.

A student at GW who had a class with Krug told CNN that she was fronted as an Afro-Latina woman from the Bronx.

A day after the essay was published, the GWA announced that Krug would no longer be studying for the semester, while the university reviewed the situation.

She apologized for calling it a “constant allotment of Black Caribbean identity”, calling it false, immoral, immoral, anti-Black and colonial.

He wrote, “I am no culture vulture.” “I’m a culture leech.”
