While Randy Moss calls himself the greatest receiver of all time and Jerry Rice saw only the third or fourth, Rice.
Rice posted his answer on Instagram, along with a list of his career stats and Moss’s career stats. The list looks like this:
.You: Rice 21, Moss 14.
Reception: Rice 1,549, algae 982.
Yards: Rice 22,895, algae 15,292
Touchdowns: Rice 197, Moss 156.
Wins the Super Bowl: Rice 3, algae 0.
Super Bowl MVPs: Rice 1, algae 0.
Not close to career statistics. Moss made a large number of places early in his career, but the 33rd was the worst season of his career, he didn’t play at all at 34, and he was backed up before retiring at 35. Rice had more than 9,000 receiving yards after 33 years.
The argument in favor of Moss is that in his superiority, he was capable of more spectacular plays than Rice. But compared to the full bodies of their work, Rice has a bigger edge.
Rice ended her Instagram post with a comment that Moss uses when she dominates a player on her TV job: “You just got mozzard!”
