If Aaron Donald didn’t know who Debo Samuel was (of course he did), he would now.
After the 49ers won Week 6 at the Los Angeles Rams, Donald behaved as if he had never heard of the 49ers’ second-year receiver. On Sunday, Samuel departed, catching 11 passes in 133 yards in San Francisco to win 23-20 against Donald and Rams at Sonfay Stadium.
It was Samuel’s first game from a Samuel Mustring injury that forced him to miss three games, and the 49-year-old legend Jerry Rice liked what he saw in his return from a South Carolina production, especially after Donald said earlier in the season.

The 49ers have now won four straight games against Ram. In those four games, Samuel has caught 24 passes and touchdowns for 248 yards while Rushing has also added touchdowns.
After the win, Samuel went on Twitter to troll Donald, adding more spice to NFC West’s feud.

The 49ers now sit at 5-6 and are just one game out of the NFC playoffs. It’s a big achievement considering how many injuries they’ve caused in the weather this season.
As the calendar lender turns to December, the 49ers are finally recovering. Samuel, Richard Sherman and Rahim Mostert returned on Sunday and there is a possibility outside that Jimmy Garoppolo could return to the tail of the season.
Even if they don’t make it to the playoffs, the 49-week Week 12 win confirms two things: the 49ers own the Rams, and Donald Neu doubt who Samuel is.
