Jay-Z, Yo Gotti and its social justice team confirm the infamous Mississippi Parchman prison is coming to a standstill in protecting submitters against COVID-19 … and statistics prove it.
Team ROC’s attorneys filed documents this week accusing the state of punishing serious test errors on the heels of reports of a coronavirus outbreak among just a small sample of residents.
According to the documents … as of July 30, only 132 Parchman inmates out of more than 2,000 tested for COVID, and among those 132, a whopping 33 percent tested positive, suggesting an incoming crisis.
Team ROC claims that cases continue to increase instead of decrease, pointing out that one resident just died last weekend from the virus.
To make matters worse, the suspect is often not isolate infected occupants and ROC claims 3 prisoners who had pending tests were recklessly moved to various units without precautionary measures … and their results returned positive.
Team ROC claims that prison staff also fall short on its screening process for visitors and says staff members do not wear PPE universally … causing lawyers and other outsiders to be exposed.
Team ROC lawyer Marcy Croft says … “It’s a travesty that Parchman continues to ignore the lives of the people in their prisons and expose them to the deadly COVID-19 virus.”
Along with better testing of protocols and compliance, the legal team is seeking more transparency from prison, to ensure that it follows CDC guidelines to slow the spread.
This is not the first time the infamous Mississippi missionary has been called out for alleged abuse of his entourage. As we reported … Team ROC has released a video in January of what it described as inhuman conditions within its walls.
Yo Gotti even asked the feds to intervene, and Team ROC also filed a lawsuit against prison officials demanding a plan of action to help the residents.
