This Friday, Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams will conclude with a new single called “Entrepreneur.” Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams return, after building up a repertoire until the 2000s Roc La Familia album. Since then, the pair have been associated with songs (many of their lead singles) such as “Excuse Me Miss”, “La La La”, “Change Clothes”, “Allure”, “Oceans” and many more. Some might say that P has become one of Hov’s most trusted collaborators, and now they’re getting ready to add another one to the pole. This Friday, P and Jay-Z are set to release a new Neptunes-produced single “Entrepreneur”, which arrives as part of Pharrel’s Time Magazine cover package The New American Revolution. “The intention for a song was all about how hard it is to be an entrepreneur in our country to begin with,” Pharrell explained, talking about his upcoming role with Time. “Especially as one of color, there are many systemic disadvantages and deliberate blockages. How to start a fire, or even the hope of a ember to start a fire, if you start with disadvantages related to health care, education, and representation? “ As some bright observers may have noticed, the Jay-Z family has developed a habit of falling on the same day as Nas, a pattern that began in 2017’s Everything Is Love landing on the same day as Nasir. Next came Beyonce’s The Lion King OST, which arrived in tandem The Lost Tapes 2. And while this is not exactly an album, it’s still interesting to see Jay and Nas’ schedule reconnect. Healthy competition, perhaps? Although the more conspiracy among us may reach different conclusions.
