Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and other close COVID-19 contacts of the Browns are expected to return on Thursday; Wyatt Taylor likely Wednesday

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Support for the Browns’ big-big-big merger sh.down with Stuarts on Sunday at FirstNergy Stadium.

Coach Kevin Stefansky said on Monday that close contact with the five-line back-end risk is expected by Thursday if they continue the negative test. They are receivers Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and Khadrel Hodge and linebacker Jacob Phillips.

Without those players and left-handers, Jedrick Wills Jr., the Browns lost 23-16 to the Jets on Sunday in which they reached the playoff berth for the first time since 2002.

Goodson will have to sit out the Steelers game as part of his minimum 10-day quarantine period for a positive test for the Covid-19.

Stefansky also said he is hopeful Wyatt Taylor, the right-back, will return to the field from his ankle on Wednesday, and safety Ronnie Harrison (shoulder) could play this week.

During the game, three players were injured and they are daily: linebackers Sion Takitaki and Tai Davis suffered knee injuries and rookie guard Nick Harris suffered a knee injury.

Stefansky said he did not yet have a deadline for Wills’ return, who was rejected on Sunday with illness after being activated from the Covid-1 list reserve as a close contact. Wills have tested negative so far, meaning he should be eligible to play if he continues.
