The Legend of Korra just hit Netflix, which means Nickelodeon’s divisive follow-up Avatar: The Last Airbender is back in the spotlight. While Avatar is universally loved by fans, Korra is much polarizing – some felt that it continued the progressive aspects of Avatar, while others found the main character unreliable. However, Janet Varney, Korra’s voice actor, does not count herself among Korra’s critics. After all, she thinks Korra as a character is loving and relatable, even when they are dating each other.

Folle Avatar: The Last Airbender fans compare The Legend of Korra to his predecessor, a move that Netflix considered unfair.
The streaming giant took to Twitter to tell Korra critics to make good return before the sequel was available on its platform.
“Korra’s story was important, Aang’s story was told,” tweeted Netflix. Fans were quick to respond to the somewhat controversial statement.
