Unimpressed when Neymar shared two golden chances to score in the first half, Schmeichel criticized the Brazilian forward, claiming that the chances he missed were given to him by Atalanta.

But Carragher disagreed with Dane’s analysis and the two soon came together CBS Sports .

“I have to say I’m trying to compare him to players of the likes [Cristiano] Ronaldo en [Lionel] Messi, [Diego] Maradona, [Robert] Lewandowski and one Mbappe.

“I think he changed the game. I do not think Neymar was brilliant.

‘But I’m so happy for you [Carragher] that you’re glad I was wrong. Let me just remind you that you’re on your hooks – I had PSG! Forgot that? ”
