“Your life and not just your life, your feet – something that you need to move around, to move forward in life – man, can be taken this way,” Blake said, rubbing his fingers.
His attorney, Ben Crumpy, posted a video on Twitter on Saturday saying Blake, a 29-year-old police officer, had recovered from injuries he had sustained after being shot seven times by Kenosha of Vinoxin.
A video clip of the incident shows an officer shooting Blake as he tries to enter the driver’s side door of the SUV. Her three children – 3, 5 and 8 – were in the car at the time.
The shooting left Blake paralyzed below the waist.
The incident also ruled out protests over police brutality and systemic racism, which began in May after the death of George Floyd in police custody.
Blake said he has staples in his back and abdomen and he suffers all day.
“It hurts to breathe. It hurts to sleep. It hurts to move to the side. It hurts to eat.” “You don’t have to deal with this.”
He called on those watching to change for the better.
“Please I say you change your life right there.” “We can stay together, make some money, make everything easier for our people.”
