J. Cole confirms that he has TWO CHILDREN and reveals that he is considering retiring in a wide-ranging trial
The notoriously private rapper J. Cole has opened up about his personal life, revealing that he has two children.
The 35-year-old rapper (real name Jermaine Lamarr Cole) had previously admitted in 2018 that he and his wife of five years, Melissa Heholt had a son.
He admitted in a GQ interview earlier this month that his son is a toddler, but in a lengthy essay he wrote for The Players Tribute, he admitted that he has had two children in the past four years.

Cole revealed that in the spring of 2016, he knew he was going to be a father for the first time.
‘A couple of weeks before I knew I would become a father. It was not a surprise. I had been taking steps to change my life for the past two years, and I felt ready, ” he said in the trial.
He later said that his “short-term plan” was to finish his 2016 album 4 Your Eyez Only, “before the arrival of my first child.”

He added that in the four years since the release of that album, ‘I have been blessed with two children, I learned the delicate art of balancing parenthood and career.
Cole added that his “long-term plan” was “to become the best rapper I could be before hanging up my shirt, leaving nothing on the table when everything was said and done.”
He also hinted at his retirement as a rapper, although he admitted that his passion for acting has returned.

‘The fire that was once extinguished has returned, and for that I am grateful. On my career wish list, there are a few more items left to mark before giving me permission to enter the next chapter of my life, ” he added, hinting that he is at least considering retiring.
“However, when I approach the top of this mountain, I still find myself looking at the other in the distance, wondering if I can climb,” he added.
“At 35, I know it sounds crazy when you say it out loud, but I think all the best dreams,” the rapper concluded.

Cole’s sixth studio album, The Fall-Off, is scheduled for release later this year, but no release date was given.
He released his first song of the year, a politically charged song called Snow on tha Bluff, in June.
The rapper was also named ambassador for Puma, which included a multi-year footwear and apparel association.
